Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty As a 21 year old, I have been wanting a Rhinoplasty since I was 11 years old. I finally had the courage to consult with a few plastic surgeons ranging from Beverly Hills to Las Vegas, but I didn't feel comfortable and confident enough to go through with the surgery after their consultations until I miraculously came across Dr. Todd Hobgood. As soon as I met with him at the consultation, i felt a sense of relief and all of my nerves diminished. He actually listened to everything I had to say as if I was his only patient. Not to mention he knew things about my nose that even myself and the other surgeons did not know or point out. After the surgery, I instantly knew I made the best decision of my life and that I was in good hands. The recovery process was better than I could ever imagine, I had VERY minimal pain and bruising and Dr. Hobgood personally called and checked up on me to ensure I was doing ok even though he knew how well he did and how well I was doing. My nose turned out to be better than I expected, even with the swelling. It is an amazing feeling to say I have a actual cute functioning nose. I am honestly shocked that he does not have more recognition than he does, he deserves to have his own tv show! I will never forget Dr. Hobgood and what he has done for me; I will be forever grateful. I cannot thank you enough Todd Christopher Hobgood!
Best Facial Plastic Surgeon! So I'm not big on leaving reviews but my results most definitely have warranted one. So I'll give you guys a quick summary on why I chose Dr.Hobgood for my rhinoplasty revision. About a year ago I had primary rhinoplasty and the results were far less than desirable which caused a lot of mental and emotional distress the symmetry was not there and from Day 1 of taking the cast off, I knew that it was not going to be ok. He shaved way too much of my bone so my profile was what they called "Polly-beak". So after months of hoping it was going to get better nothing happened it still looked "off". So I decided on the 10th month after my primary rhinoplasty to start consultations with facial plastic surgeons so when my one year mark came I would be able to fix it. Now I live in Las Vegas and I wanted to chose a surgeon who just did facial work I looked up double board certified facial plastic surgeons in Las Vegas Phoenix and Los Angeles and I saw great work by Dr.Hobgood. Dr.Hobgood was my first consultation and then I had two other in Los Angeles. I didn't really find a doctor I was that comfortable with in Vegas to handle my case. So the reason why I chose Dr.Hobgood over the two other doctors that I saw was that from the start of the consultation I knew that Hobgood was an expert in his field and he just comes across extremely genuine, kind, honest, and knowledgeable. He also is honest by telling you there is no such thing as perfection (because what is perfection to start with) but there are major improvements that we can make.He was not pushy at all and I felt like a revision was not necessarily needed but if I wanted a more structured appearance then that we could work on. He talked me through those improvements which were building my dorsal which will get rid of that "Polly-beak" and that will provide me with a more masculine and structured appearance. He explained to me why my nose in my primary rhinoplasty did that exhibit the results that were intended and that was because I have thicker skin and there are certain ways my nose cannot look like. That's why I chose him because he stood out to me he is just realistic and honest and wants to give you the best improvements that fit your face with the most natural looking outcome!! And of course, that's what the outcome was !! I am two weeks postop and I am so ecstatic about the results like completely different from my primary rhinoplasty when I just wanted to be a hermit even months after. My nose looks so good it has that sharp profile that I was looking for and I CANNOT wait to see how better its going to look in 6 months from now when most of the swelling has gone down. His staff is extremely nice and the whole experience was carefree and stress-free because I knew I was in good hands. If I ever have any inquiries about a future procedure regarding a facial cosmetic surgery Dr.Todd Hobgood is my guy! His name should be Dr. Todd Good-nose because I could not have asked for better results !! You can see my profile is straight unlike the other picture where it's scooped in on the bridge of the nose. This is with a cartilage implant harvest with ear cartilage. Still healing I have thick skin, so I'm extremely eager to view final results in a years time
Topnotch Experience with Dr. Hobgood. In the words of my husband as we were leaving my postoperative appointment, "Man, Dr. Hobgood is the absolute perfect example of what/how a doctor should be". It's beyond true. Not only is he a talent and knowledgeable surgeon, his bedside manner and care for his patients is absolutely topnotch. I am so beyond thrilled that I found him for my surgery.
Excellent Experience. Dr. Hobgood and his staff are wonderful. As a physician myself, I searched out who I thought would be the best for the procedure I desired and I was not disappointed. Dr. Hobgood is very thorough and my procedure was what I expected. The staff is delightful; always positive and ready to be of service. The office runs on time and I never felt rushed. This office is truly a team that is amazing.
Rhinoplasty - Amazing I had a primary cosmetic rhinoplasty with Dr. Hobgood on 4/13/18. After doing some online research on plastic surgeons, my consultation with him went well. He will thoroughly explain what he is going to do. He was even kind enough to give me his cell phone number if any additional questions came up. Fortunately, I didn't need to have a picture ready or idea of what I wanted my nose to look like, I just wanted it to be natural(but better) and he doesn't need a picture of someone else's nose to understand what will look fitting and natural on your face. He does not use photo imaging which was not important to me. Dr. Hobgood personally called me the night before surgery to discuss any concerns, which I thought was nice as there is obviously some anxiety that goes along with surgery! The day before surgery I started taking Keflex, which caused me to vomit throughout the day the day before surgery. Despite some nerves I showed up for surgery at the (very nice) Surgery Center of Gilbert and it was a surprisingly easy and fast process - I was prepped in no time, my anesthesiologist and nurses were great. (They do not utilize nurse anesthetists, which I was happy about.) Dr. Hobgood is very calming and reassuring - he is clearly very experienced at what he does and at dealing with people. He spoke with my husband after the procedure in detail about how it went. I was out of there in no time and was surprised to find I could breathe out of my nose immediately! Thankfully I did not have packing. I has very little numbness at the tip of my nose which is resolving. My throat was sore from the breathing tube which got better in about a day. I was given demerol, a pain medication in my muscle after surgery. I did NOT use any prescription pain medication, but did take tylenol the first day after surgery for extremely minimal discomfort. Day 2 after surgery I essentially felt "back to normal" besides some bruising and swelling. I continued to rinse my nostrils with saline and hydrogen peroxide and cover with ointment per instructions. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get away with this being SO easy! Day 3, the bruising and swelling started to improve. Both the surgery center and Dr. Hobgood's MA called me the week after surgery to check in. A few weeks after surgery, it was like I forgot I had even had surgery at all. I would highly recommend Dr. Hobgood for a rhinoplasty!
Tear Trough Repair w/ Restylane Had tear trough repair done at Dr. Hobgood's in Scottsdale,AZ by his NP Annie. Awesome experience,it didn't hurt at all. It's only been a few hours,but it looks 100% better already. Money well spent. The price was excellent! I highly recommend Annie! It's somewhat sore,but completely tolerable. I was anxious about getting it done,and heard horror stories. But I'm so happy I did.
You have found your surgeon! I did tons of research before choosing Dr. Hobgood. I talked to everybody, Googled everybody, read multiple reviews, joined website, clubs and groups to talk about this surgery and get advise. I was finally ready last March at age 52. Dr. Hobgood did my face lift (eyes included) with dermabrasion around mouth for lip lines. Every time I walk past a mirror I think, I can't believe I did it and it turned out great! I'm healed and I feel fabulous! I love putting on make-up and getting dressed up. It's fun again like it used to be. The only bump in the road I hit was, I seem to be getting more sensitive to physical pain as my hormones change with age. I had a really hard time with the physical part. Dr. Hobgood was kindly generous with my pain medication which I seriously needed. If you're afraid of the pain/discomfort just tell him and he'll take care of you the best science will allow. If you're afraid of the esthetic outcome, DON'T BE! You will not find more skill, talent or artistic ability in a cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Hobgood is your man! He will not disappoint!
Best doctor! I knew I wanted to go to Dr. Hobgood for my rhinoplasty before any consultations. His competence, qualifications, and specialization in facial plastic surgery made me feel comfortable. His office is clean and feels much more "homey" than other Scottsdale surgeon offices. Dr. Hobgood and his staff are always kind and welcoming. Dr. Hobgood has the best bedside manner! At he consultation and before surgery, he explained in detail what would be done to my nose and what to expect. He made me feel confident going into surgery and personally called later in the day after surgery to check up on me. He has answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. I am happy with my results and my choice to go to Dr. Hobgood. Hobby definitely "nose" best!
46 Years with Hollows Under Eyes - Scottsdale, AZ Where has Dr. hobgood been all my life, finally smoothness under eyes has been achieved and a nice side effect bluish ting also disappeared. By the way I interviewed many doctors for this procedure some more expensive some less. But they did not take the time like Dr. Hobgood did to really explain the procedure so that I could make an informed decision. So glad I trusted my instincts and held out. His staff are kind and helpful as well and we all know that's a big deal when spending your hard earned $$$
New Nose I remember being 10 years old when I first noticed my nose was bigger than most. And in high school is when I first considered getting a rhinoplasty. For the past 10 years I really considered it and wanted so bad. I finally got enough information, courage and money saved up to do it June 16th of this year. I really didnt mind the profile much, had a small hump and drooped down a bit. The front is what I really hated. Too long and wide and from the bone was crooked,in a c-shaped The tip and columna is what bothered me most. It drooped especially when I smiled. I had a consultation with one doctor, didnt think he was right for me. Then I had a consult with Dr. Hobgood, double board certified ENT and facial plastic surgeon on April 12th. He has a great personality, puts you at ease, is confidant in his work and has done over 3,000 rhinoplasties. I knew he was the one I wanted.The following week I put down my deposit. I booked surgery for June 16th. Did my bloodwork 2 weeks prior. Had my pre-op week before, prescriptions were given, went over everything , pics taken and paid remainder . Ansethesiologist paid a couple days before surgery and surgerical center the day of. Surgery was for 9:30 AM. Had to bee there at 8:30. Got in and everything went smoothly. My biggest fear was post nausea. Every surgery I have ever had I have a had bad nausea and vomiting. Doctor, ansetheologist ,and nurses were great. I went in and was out 2 hours later. Woke up feeling pretty good. Was in recovery for about an hour and went home. I live almost an hour out and ride was a bit uncomfortable and it was 113 degrees that day. Made it home . Doctor called same day to make sure everythig went good. To my suprise I was able to eat a bit, had no nausea whatsoever and hardly any bleeding. The only thing was there was tape over stiches in front and was hard to clean so dried blood got stuck on pretty bad. Pain was minimal. Swelling was pretty bad. 3rd day was the worst. My eyes were bruised. Sleeping was horrible, still is. Saline and vasaline are must haves One week later went to office to get cast and stiches removed. First look at my nose was terrible. It was huge. But I knew that was to be expected, but still wanted to cry. Now Im one month post. Swelling has decresed but still alot left. still stuffed up quite a bit. I mouth breathe at night and have to wake several times to drink water because my mouth is sooo dry. I love my profile and I can see the changes in front, but of course still have a lot of healing to do. Will update Here are some more before pics, some during recovery and some 1 month post . Nasal congestion has been better the past few days. No longer waking with dry mouth. I do notice I have a lot of thick long nasal mucus, which is more than likely do to allergies, but is really annoying. My scar is still pretty noticable and there seems to be a little bump under scar, I think its scar tissue. It is slowly getting better, been putting lots of vasaline to keep moist. Does anyone know how long it takes for scar to heal? I see dr on th e 31st of this month for followup

My experience with Dr. Hobgood and his staff was absolutely excellent, from initial consultation, through surgery and post-operative care. Prior to meeting with him, I suffered from chronic sinusitis, as well as a deviated septum and collapsed nasal valves. Several months have now passed since the operation (which mainly entailed septoplasty & sinus surgery), and I'm now breathing, and feeling better than ever. Thank you Dr. Hobgood!

Dr. Hobgood has changed my life! I had always contemplated getting a nose job since I was in 7th grade and I knew the minute I met Dr. Hobgood that he would be the one to do it. I had a Mohs procedure by my dermatologist to remove a basal cell carcinoma from my face. I had Dr. Hobgood close up the dime sized quarter inch deep hole in my face. A month later you can barely see it. Dr. Hobgood was very friendly and did a great job of explaining what he was going to do and the aftercare. My only complaint is I was asked to pay for the procedure in advance and was charged the full rate instead of the insurance rate. I had to request a refund for the credit balance.
Couldn't find a better doctor who is more skilled, professional and talented. He has outstanding social skills, is confident, engaging and concerned about his patients. We interviewed three other cosmetic surgeons from La Jolla, CA to Scottsdale, AZ prior to meeting Dr. Hobgood. Dr Hobgood is the textbook definition of a Top Doc. I had a cancer event that required facial plastic surgery repair. Then, adding to the adventure, I ended up being a "challenging" healer. Dr. Hobgood is truly one of a kind. Before I continue, I want to say that this is not going to be a typical review that romanticizes plastic surgery, and makes it seem like it’s all sunshine and rainbows. This is going to be a very realistic and honest story of my experience. I had my rhinoplasty during an incredibly challenging season of life. My husband was away on a long deployment, I was in residency, and I had just moved to a completely new area. Looking back, I had a lot of major life changes happening all at once, and I think that’s important context because rhinoplasty recovery can be both physically and emotionally demanding. One of the things I appreciated most about Dr. Hobgood was that he never pressured me into surgery. He was honest, realistic, and focused on helping me make the best decision for myself. I always felt respected and informed throughout the process. I also had breathing concerns, and Dr. Hobgood gave me a guarded and realistic expectation of what surgery might accomplish. The results ended up exceeding my expectations and my breathing improved dramatically. I also want to mention something that I think prospective rhinoplasty patients should hear more often: healing from rhinoplasty is no joke. It is a long process, both physically and emotionally. Swelling takes time to resolve, and even more than that, you’re making a permanent change to the center of your face which can be shocking for a long time. Even with an excellent surgical result, it can still be a huge emotional adjustment. Dr. Hobgood was very open about this from the beginning and did an excellent job preparing me for the reality of recovery. Looking back, I’m not sure rhinoplasty was something I absolutely needed, and I think I underestimated how much the timing of my life circumstances would affect my experience. That’s not a reflection of Dr. Hobgood at all. If anything, my experience reinforced how important it is for patients to make sure they are pursuing surgery for themselves and that they are emotionally ready for the journey. Culture, family, social influences, and life circumstances can all play a role in these decisions, and I think it’s important to take the time to honestly evaluate your heart before moving forward. I come from a culture in which rhinoplasty is unbelievably normalized, and because of that, I’ve seen some really rough rhinoplasties. I avoided it for a long time and decided it wouldn't be worth it unless I found a surgeon I was beyond confident in, and for me, that was Dr. Hobgood. Even when everything goes right, and in my case, it truly did, it is still a major decision with physical and emotional implications. Surgery won’t solve every insecurity, fix every problem in your life, or automatically make you happier. One of the reasons I respect Dr. Hobgood so much is that he never presented it that way. He treated the decision with the seriousness it deserves and made sure I understood both the benefits and the realities of the process. One of the greatest compliments I can give him is this: despite the emotional ups and downs I experienced during recovery and the intense season of life that I was in, I never doubted that I was in the right hands. Dr. Hobgood’s technical skill, honesty, and bedside manner are exceptional. His office is beautiful, his staff are wonderful (love you, Ashley!), appointments run on time, and the level of professionalism throughout the entire experience is outstanding. If I had to do the process over again, I would choose Dr. Hobgood every single time. I can’t put into words how happy I am with the results I have gotten from my procedure with Dr.Hobgood. I was very self-conscious of the wrinkling and sagging skin on my face and around my mouth due to sun exposure for many years. I now have the confidence to fix myself up, put makeup on, and just feel good about myself. The gratitude I have for Dr.Hobgood and his amazing staff is immeasurable. I had a deep plain facelift, full face, CO2, laser, and dermabrasion around my mouth He knew exactly what I needed and was very informative about the procedure and recovery. I had a great experience. Dr. Hobgood was excellent , he was professional and very clear explaining the process. Everything went as expected. My upper bleph looks completely natural. It’s been four months, I have a tiny bump where the final stitch was in 1 eye but it continues shrinking. I love the way my eyes look happy and refreshed. Everyone in his team was good. I’ve just had my second surgery with Dr. Hobgood and wouldn’t have returned if I hadn’t been beyond thrilled the first time! 2021 Mid-face deep plane/neck and 2026 revision rhinoplasty. My initial search for the right surgeon was extensive and Dr. H was the last. I guess I saved the best for last! Personable, up front and honest (in fact told me I really could wait a few years in 2021) I left already knowing my decision. Flash forward 5 years and it was a no- brainer. Dr Hobgood and his team go Above and beyond in ALL areas of patient care. It was a treat seeing Lisa at the Front desk when I had my first appointment channel 3 was my go to every morning because of her❤️ Dr Hobgood spent 1 1/2 hours with me during my co summation explaining every detail I could tell He saw immediately how passionate and knowledgable he is about his work Of art. Oh and he can do cute ponytails and back rubs😂😂😂😂. It’s only been 12 days post op for me however Dr Hobgood artistry is magical. Nurse Ashley has the softest touch when removing staples and soothing voice always is available for questions. I never felt like I was asking too many questions. I did have some unique questions that Ashley did not know the answer but got it for me in 2 minutes!!! I cannot recommend Dr. Hobgood and his team enough! I recently had a neck lift combined with CO2 laser resurfacing, and the results are absolutely incredible. I wanted a natural look— I am 61 years old and I just wanted to look refreshed. That is exactly what I received. The neck lift tightened the sagging skin under my chin, giving me jawline again. The CO2 laser resurfacing was the perfect complement, smoothing out the crepey skin texture and fine lines on my face. It’s been 3 months and I look rested and feel 10 years younger! Who knew? The staff were so friendly and my recovery was so much easier than I ever thought. The results are beyond what I hoped for!

Dr. Hobgood is a rare type of doctor. He really takes an interest in his patients. He has made several calls to my home to personally check on me; most of these calls were made on his own time either in the evenings or on the weekend. I just wish he were still in Columbus.
