Restylane Filler for Tear Trough and Lips - Scottsdale, AZ I went to Dr. Hobgood because I wanted to get filler injected into my hollowed under eyes to minimize my dark circles and shadows and have my lips done. I've had lip injections once before by a different plastic surgeon using juvederm but never have had my eye area done. Since the eyes are a tricky area if not done properly (tear trough), I only wanted to see a FACIAL plastic surgeon to do this. After reading the reviews on RealSelf, I decided Dr. Hobgood would be my best choice. I am so happy I chose him. I arrived an hour early and his assistant applied numbing cream. No dental block was used, just numbing cream. He used Restylane (which also contains a numbing agent, xylocaine) for both my eyes and lips. He was VERY gentle. He took his time as I had explained to him that my previous injectable experience was quite traumatic. He explained the entire process before he started and even during. He made sure I was as comfortable as I could be during the injections. I assumed the eyes would be very painful to have done, but it was a breeze. They did not bruise and I am so happy with how they look. I no longer look so tired everyday. The skin is smooth and I no longer need to apply under eye concealer. My lips look amazing as well. They have just been slightly filled to get rid of any lines and to smooth and plump them up slightly. Very subtle enlargement to maintain a youthful appearance and so that my lipstick and gloss do not build up in any lines. I had no bruising or swelling under my eyes. The only thing you could see under my eyes were tiny red dots where the needle was inserted but was easily covered up with foundation. The red dots went away after 72 hours. My lips did not bruise at all! They were very swollen and tender for 48 hours just as Dr. Hobgood said . But after the 3rd day, I woke up to lips that were not swollen, just the perfect size I requested. My previous lip injection was 2 years ago and I went to a different board certified surgeon. Those results were very good but the surgeon used numbing cream AND dental blocks and I still felt the needle going through my lips which he had weaved through my entire upper lip and then dispersed the filler while he slowly pulled the needle out. I was very happy with the results, however it was a very rough and painful injection even with the numbing cream and dental block. My lips were very bruised for about a week. Dr. Hobgood's injection method for my lips was much more bearable and not scary at all. He is very gentle, no bruising at all and the results are natural looking. I no longer need to be scared to get my injectables knowing I'm in Dr. Hobgoods hands. I still look like me and the fillers are not obvious, just a refreshed version of myself.
19 Year Old Rhinoplasty Cosmetic and Deviated Septum - Scottsdale, AZ For the last couple years I have been unhappy with my nose but never thought my parents would let me do anything to it. I thought something had to be wrong with it as it had a bump on the side. I decided to ask my doctor what she thought and she referred me to an ear nose and throat doctor and to get scans of my nose. I met with the ear nose and throat doctor who told me he wouldn't be able to fix my nose fully with my deviated septum and collapsing nose. I finally figured out I did have something wrong! My parents finally eased up. The ear nose and throat doctor referred me to Dr. Hobgood. I asked around about him and had heard nothing but amazing things. I made a consultation with him and my mom and I went. He told me all he could do for me and I was sold! He was so friendly and warm. After the appointment my mom called insurance and we set up a surgery date! It all happened so quickly. I am now out of my cast and extremely happy with my results. I have posted pictures of before, during, and after surgery. It is still swollen-which should ease up in the next couple weeks.
Dr. Hobgood's skill as a Facial Plastic Surgeon is Unparalleled! Scottsdale, AZ I highly recommend Dr Hobgood as a facial plastic surgeon. He performed a reconstruction surgery on my face after a large piece of my cheek was removed due to skin cancer. His surgical skill is unparalleled. I had a hole in my cheek the size of quarter or larger and 6 months later, nobody can tell. We were not expecting such a large hole, so he had to change his surgical plan at a moments notice. Furthermore, because it was much worse than expected, it was extremely traumatic and emotional for me. I was devastated to see such a large hole in my face and Dr. Hobgood was very compassionate and helped to calm me while undergoing his reconstruction. He knew how upset I was and he was incredibly empathetic. I don't have enough praise or kind words for Dr. Hobgood as a person and facial plastic surgeon because he is phenomenal in all respects.
Neck and Lower Face Look So Much Older Than the Rest of Me! - Scottsdale, AZ 58 year old who has been hating my neck and reflection in my iPad and car windows for five years! Up until this year I've always been told how young I look for my age. I work out and have stayed fit my entire life but my lower face gave my age away. I am two weeks out from a platysmaplasty and lower face lift and could not be any happier!!
43 Restalyne. Cannula Procedure for Tear Troughs - Scottsdale, AZ I had Restalyne injected into my tear troughs. It was painless. The cannula left no bruising and very little swelling. It was completely painless. This ws s a very well researched endeavor. I had a previous consult try to convince me to use a cocktail of fillers. I am glad I balked. I wish I had before and after pictures. I am really happy with the results. I might see if I can do more next time, but I trust my doctor's judgement.
Had Fillers by Many Different Injectors - Hit the Jackpot with Dr Hobgood! Scottsdale, AZ In terms of keeping an edge on "best kept secrets" in beauty: I almost want to keep Dr. Hobgood my own secret. However, I'm so pleased with my experience that it is only fair to the doctor to write a review. Over the years, I've seen at least a dozen different injectors. Most are "good" or at least good enough; but it is a whole new level when you get someone like Dr. Hobgood, who really understand aesthetics and the mechanics of the face. AREAS TREATED: Cheeks and a little to the corner of the mouth. One syringe - 1.5 CC. With just one syringe of Radiesse, I can see an excellent result to cheeks--can't stop looking in the mirror. We also put a little in the corner of my mouth, which has helped turn my frown upside down. That's not an easy task on the mouth, especially with Radiesse, which is my favorite product. By comparison, in the past, by another injector, I've had twice the amount (3CC's) and was barely able to notice a difference. One note: he is generally booking out a month or more in advance. This is my second visit to Dr. Hobgood. My first visit was a couple years ago and I forgot how good he was. I had tried to get in to see him, got impatient with the wait and then (regretfully) saw another injector who could get me in quicker. After today, I'm reminded that Dr. Hobgood is worth the wait. Price is reasonable, which maybe explains the wait to get in. A little bit about me: I've been doing fillers since they first started becoming mainstream, back in the 1990's--remember collagen? I've done fat transfer, Sculptra and just about every single Juvederm / Restylane product on the market (not a fan of HA fillers in general - I'm pretty dead set against them except for a tiny, tiny bit in the lips). Through trial and error, along with lots of research, I've come to trust Radiesse and Sculptra, but with both of these: expertise of the injector is a make or break. Happy to answer any questions. I may post a couple photos if I can figure out how to disguise my identity 🙂
Tear Trough Filler Injections - Scottsdale, AZ I have gone to Dr hobgood twice and have my third appointment in a couple of weeks. Before getting this procedure I was really nervous, I had been researching and found out this is a very sensitive area. The injector has to be very skilled and gentle, and that is what Dr. Hobgood has demonstrated. I'm so glad I went to him and will never go to anyone else, his price is much worth it. I experienced very minimal swelling and no visible bruising.
Rhino/Septo/Chin Augmentation - Scottsdale, AZ I had consultations with 4 different surgeons before choosing Dr. Hobgood. Out of all of them I felt like only Dr. Hobgood really spent the time with me to explain my issues and concerns and walk through the details of what would be done. I didn't feel any pressure to go through with any of the procedures and several times he mentioned that one of the options was to do nothing or only deal with the breathing issue and not make any cosmetic changes. There was no time afterwards spent with the "closer" trying to offer deals and incentives to push me into the surgery. I was actually surprised to simply be handed the estimate and told to call if I had any questions. I am now one week post op, I just got the cast off my nose and I am very happy with the results so far. I have a before/after pic that I mocked up prior to the surgery and the real after picture is almost identical. Since this is only one week there is obviously still swelling from the surgery. The best part is that for the first time that I can remember I can actually breathe easily through my nose. I have some slight numbness below my lip and some sensitivity at one corner of the implant which I believe is very normal at this stage, but otherwise I feel like nothing even happened. Dr. Hobgood and his staff made every effort to make the surgery and recovery as painless as possible. I'll post the "official" before/after picks in a few months.
47 Yrs Old Rhinoplasty! So Happy! - Scottsdale, AZ So Happy !! I had my rhinoplasty two weeks ago today is day 13 I am so happy. My nose is so amazing. I have a long face and had a huge dorsal hump and over projected drupe. the hump was huge! I look like gonzo from Muppet's. And I am OLD! LOL Dr Hobgood explained everything in detail. Was very up front about the dangers and what could go wrong. And took careful care to avoid those scenarios.

Doctors like this are Rare today. I was so overwhelmed with a decision I made elsewhere, before I knew better. I found Dr Hobgood through realself.com. I had a very unfortunate experience elsewhere and my previous Dr was of no help in explaining why I was having the symptoms I was. I sought out the expertise of Dr Hobgood and he was very thorough in explaining to me what I was dealing with and how we could proceed should I choose that route. I certainly wont go anywhere else in the future!!

I feel like I won the surgeon lotto. It's been a little over 4 months since I had my deep plane facelift and lower blepharoplasty with Dr Hobgood, and I couldn't be happier. I did not take the decision to have cosmetic surgery lightly. My worst fear was having a poor outcome, or worse, a possible long-term surgical complication. I'm happy to report neither. I've been wanting a facelift for about 2-3 years now, right after menopause began. I knew that despite a healthy lifestyle and a good skin care routine, nothing but surgery could address the laxity I was developing around the lower face area. That's when my search began. It wasn't long before I fell into a social media algorithm of facelift before and after clips. I was envious and wishing it could be me. It was an overwhelming place to be. Where do I start? Who can I trust? Can I afford it? Will my husband kill me for spending this kind of money? Lol, thankfully my husband was supportive and loved Dr Hobgood. He's been very impressed with the excellent natural results. We flew in from the east coast and stayed at an Airbnb for the timeline required, which was a leap of faith in and of itself. What if there were any complications? Fortunately, there were no issues whatsoever and even if there had been, I feel the office would have been accommodating and professional. I did a lot of research and met with several other surgeons in multiple locations before choosing Dr Hobgood. It's been a painstaking and time-consuming endeavor, but completely worth it. I'm hoping that this review may save someone else a little time and energy. Dr Hobgood is a talented, conscientious, professional, safe and meticulous surgeon. Trust the Process. Before having my surgery, I met with three facial plastic surgeons in Scottsdale, all highly recommended by friends. When I met DR. Hobgood, he listened to what I wanted and was realistic about what results could be achieved. I felt a sense of trust immediately; he was very thorough in explaining the procedure and spoke to me in a very kind caring way, answering all my questions and concerns. I knew that I was going to have DR. Hobgood perform my surgery, and we started the process. I 'am six months post-surgery, my results are beyond my expectations, I can 100% in good faith say that DR. Hobgood is "THE BEST" facial plastic surgeon! He truly cares about his patients and his staff, are all amazing. The process takes time and patience as he is extremely busy for good reason, trust me he is worth the wait. Start to finish for me was just about a year, which includes consultation, booking surgery, labs, pre-op, day of surgery, post-op appointments, recovery and results. I can't thank DR. Don’t look any further, Dr. Hobgood is the best you can find. I consider myself blessed that he decided to be a plastic surgeon in AZ. Extremely intelligent, kind, empathetic and professional. I looked at a few others for bleph surgery and no one was even close.

AMAZING. From the second I went to my consultation to my post-op appointment Dr.Hobgood was so incredible. I felt so comfortable and welcomed, that he was my only consultation before moving on with my procedure. I finally like my nose, it fits my face and doesn’t feel at all unnatural. I feel like it’s the nose I was born with. The result Dr. Todd achieved is exactly what I had envisioned and hoped for, and I am grateful for his genuine caring and respect for my concerns and wishes, and his honesty about the procedure and what to expect.

Before I had my procedures done, I had been very self conscious of my side profile. I thought about it all the time, and I felt really flawed. I highly recommend Dr. Hobgood as a doctor for your needs regarding facial plastic surgery. My skin cancer doctor suggested that [Dr. Hobgood] may be able to perform a deep skin peel or laser to improve my appearance and help prevent recurrences of future skin cancers.
Dr. Hobgood is a rare type of doctor. He really takes an interest in his patients. He has made several calls to my home to personally check on me; most of these calls were made on his own time either in the evenings or on the weekend. He tries to adjust his schedule to make it easier to see the people who need to see him. If you are looking for a skilled and caring doctor, look no further. Dr. Todd is number one! I just wish he were still in Columbus.
